David Fountain Verified Owner Thursday, Oct 9 2025 (3 weeks ago) Team Associated RC10GT Classic Team 1/10 2WD Off-Road Nitro Truck Kit Fun kit, brought back memories of my GT from when I was racing Gas Truck back in the 90’s parts fit was pretty good too, better than the Original which required reaming the arms. One major gripe though, The manual was lacking compared to the other modern format manuals that associated has been putting out and was confusing on some steps like the shocks for example which lacked any information on the shock ends and stroke lengths. The big kicker though is the Diff which shows absolutely no information on its initial adjustment after assembly so I will try and explain how to do this here (VERY IMPORTANT!) First of all, make sure it is assembled correctly paying attention to the order of assembly, next turn the adjustment screw (accessed through one of the out-drives) clockwise until it just bottoms DO NOT over tighten!! and then BACK the screw out 1/8 of a turn no less “failure to do this can cause premature failure of the diff” this will set the proper preload for the diff
Aside from the manual issues, this is an awesome kit and builds just like the original and is a great way to get your hands wet in gas truck, Give it a try you know you want too!! Hope this helps!!
Another thing, If you wish you can download the original manual for the RC10GT from Associated’s site and use it to assemble the kit (What I did) or you can download the manual for the new Richard Sexton kit here and use the Diff assembly section (Which has the missing info) to build the diff 1 customer found this review helpful. John Murray Verified Owner Monday, Aug 18 2025 (2 months ago) Team Associated RC10GT Classic Team 1/10 2WD Off-Road Nitro Truck Kit I built mine to be a runner and put the AE .15 engine in it. The AE engine is a dog, but there are a couple other options out there if you look hard enough. The kit went together as expected and the only thing I upgraded was the rod ends to RPM. The truck handles so good and I plan to upgrade the engine to make this kit competitive. The AE starter box works perfectly for this chassis, you just have to setup slightly unconventional given the geometry.
